FIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!5!!!!!!!1,2,3,4,5!!!!!!!! You may ask, why 5!! This is 5 stars!!!!!!!!! This very dish got rated 5 stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know I know I'm fabulous!!!!!!! Hold the applause!!!! Anyway, I am busy!!!! Lots of family events going on right now like birthdays!!!! My grandma is turning 91 soon!!!!! So we are having a party and it is almost my sisters birthday on the 8 and I have been crazy!! So I haven't had time to post!!!!!!! I have been thinking about it but never had or even got the time!! But I have like 30 minutes before I want to start grading tests from my second period class! So y'all might ask, What is duck Confit? Well I will tell you. Definition 1- A traditional french dish, it is duck and it has a lot of fat on it but it kinda will wear away but it keeps the duck from drying out. when you cook it because you have herbs and berries that soak in the flavor them in. It pretty much cooks in its own fat so it can be in the fridge up to 6 months! Definition 2- THE BEST DUCK DISH EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know the first one sounds confusing but its not. I will say, serve this with mashed potatoes and green beans and make the best meal of your life! Out of every time I made this recipe it turned out amazing and I never got one dad review. That is why it ranked 5 stars!!!!!! YUM!!! I'm loving it! It is a great anniversary dinner! It is fancier then your average dinner because most people don't get duck every day but not so fancy it feels like you are at a resturaunt in Paris! I have always wanted to go to Paris. My uncle brought his girlfriend to Paris and proposed to her near the Eifel Tower!!! Isn't that romantic? It is the icing on the cake. Then they went out to dinner and they are still to together today with a kid!!!!!So there is my family in a nutshell. OMG, have y''all been outside? At least where I live it is really nice out. Sunny but windy. It is closer to cold then hot but without the wind it would be pretty warm. I love it! I barely got any snow near me! I didn't even get in inch! It would snow but not very much! Of course I was sad because I LOVE snow so we get 2 hour delays and I can sleep for another hour! I would be so happy, I hate getting out of bed. It is cold and I'm tired and I turn on the lights and it gets all bright!!!!! I hate it! I woke up this morning thinking it was Thursday and I told myself that I'm almost there and I could make it to the weekend. Its Wensday night and I can't keep my eyes open I just want it to be the weekend! How did we get so off subject? Okay back to the duck confit! I am to young to gamble (I know, you probably thought I was like 40 but you are like 3 decades off!). Anyway, enough about my age,. I am holding a contest!!!!! Here I will make a poster thing!
Oh one more thing. So this takes 2 months. Well, You let it cure but it is super easy. So plain your days now! OMG, Y'all see Worst cooks in America? I was super sad to see Big Mike go! I was hoping he would make it much further! I like Carla!! I think she is hilarious and I hope she makes it far!!! The red team I don't know!Well I really have to go so bye!
Ingredients-
2
uncooked Peking duck legs
1 tablespoon
kosher salt
1
lemon, zested and thinly sliced
3 cloves
garlic, crushed
1 tablespoon
juniper berries
2 sprigs
fresh thyme
2 cups
rendered duck fat
1 tablespoon
whole allspice berries
Directions-
Preheat oven to 200 derees
Remove the duck legs from the
marinade. Rinse them off and pat dry. Place the rest of the contents of
the bag into the bottom of an oven safe dish, I like glass or ironArrange the duck legs skin side down in the dish. Pour the duck fat into
a small saucepan and warm over low heat until liquid. Pour over the
duck legs until they are completely covered. Cover the dish with a lid. Bake for 6 to
7 hours in the preheated oven, until the meat pulls easily from the
bone. Remove the duck legs from the fat and place in a sealable
container. You may leave the bones in or remove them. Make sure there is
room at the top of the container. Strain all of the solids from the
remaining fat and discard the solids. Pour the fat over the duck in the
container, covering completely. Seal and allow to come to room
temperature. Once the jar is cool, place in the refrigerator and let the
duck meat cure for 2 months.

I took some rosemary to since I was making lemon and rosemary chicken the next day for dinner! So I came home, made my dinner and putted fresh basil on top! That was a dish that my family never forgot. I will be looking for ingredients in the house to make a quick dinner and they scream"Can you make the chicken alfredo". Then if we don't have an ingredient to make it they will scream " well go buy what you need" Yup, that is my family for you! There aren't many ingredients and its quick and easy so you can just look around your house and you will probably have these ingredients! So you won't need to order out! Speaking of ordering out, my family rarely orders out but we did order out yesturday. Guess what I got, Go on guess........... So you done guessing. Okay I can give you another minute. Jewish Challah with Golden Rasins for Purim
To my viewers who are Jewish or celebrate Purim it is your lucky holiday. I am going to try and be better with holidays. No offence to anyone but I tend to forget about holidays I don't celebrate. So sorry I am just putting these up with less then a week till Purim! But I am putting them up now. Not all the dishes I put up before Purim will be for Purim. I might put in a few things not related to Purim since not everybody celebrates if. But I'm trying. As holidays go am not the most familiar with Purim foods but I
know the basics like challah, kugel, and Hamantashen.Did I spell that right? I hope. I have never been good at spelling. Thank The Lord that blog spot has spell check, so when I make my post there is spell check! It helps a whole lot. Anyway, for all the ladies , don't y'all love braids. I find them super cute and pretty. I still French braid my hair. I love braids and having the third part a ribbon and putting flowers and butterfly clips in and making it all pretty and cute. Well most of y'all know that challah is braided. So yippy I can see braided bread. It might look and sound hard and I will be honest, the first few times I was trying to do get the bread to look like a braid I struggled with the heavy pieces. But, after like 3times I tried I could do it in my sleep. It is just like braiding hair. It was fun! I love to braid hair so braiding bread was fun!!!!!!! I know that a lot of Challah has golden rasins so I added some! The original recipe called for poppy seeds but I don't eat poppy seeds because they taste bad so............ I don't really have a story or anything cause I don't have much experience with this. But anyway, I will leave you to it!!!!!!! bye!!!!!!!!!!!
Prep-3O minutes
Bake-40 minutes
Ready in-3 hours 40 minutes
Ingredients-
Directions-
In a large bowl, sprinkle yeast over barely warm water. Beat in honey, oil, 2 eggs, and salt. Add the flour one cup at a time, beating after each addition, graduating to kneading with hands as dough thickens. Knead until smooth and elastic and no longer sticky, adding flour as needed. Cover with a damp clean cloth and let rise for 1 1/2 hours or until dough has doubled in size
Punch down the risen dough and turn out onto floured surface and add rasins. Divide in half and knead each half for five minutes adding flour as needed to keep from getting sticky. Divide each half into thirds and roll into long snake about 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Pinch the ends of the three snakes together firmly and braid from middle. Either leave as braid or form into a round braided loaf by bringing ends together, curving braid into a circle, pinch ends together. Grease two baking trays and place finished braid. Cover with towel and let rise about one hour
Preheat oven to 375
Beat the remaining egg and brush over each braid.
Bake at 375 for about 40 minutes.
Slice, Serve, and Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!

Super Shepherds Pie!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its me! I promise. I will prove it, My name is Jamie I live in Maryland my birthday is September 12. I live in Laurel Maryland, my favorite colors are yellow and sparkles. Y'all believe me? Do you? You better cause its me. Y'all probably didn't recognize me because of my HOT new nails painting. I went to get my nails done. I get them done a lot but I got this BEAUTIFUL flower design with these dots bigger to smaller and these line things. They look really good. Just making. Omg really fast, so I was reading this book to my class for something and they all shout" circle time", I was like" wow you guys like it more then 1st graders! Anyway, so I went to Penn State and I went to this Irish pub. The menu said the best selling dish was Shepherds pie. So I was like " Okay, I will order the Shepherds pie. So I was waiting for the waitress to come and I was looking at the waiters and waitresses and I realized their heights. Now I am nobody ti judge anybodies shortness since I am very short myself. Wait! Hold that thought. I know what y'all are thinking" How tall are you"? Well I am not telling you. Sorry, I am not telling anybody my height. Last time I went to the doctors and I was waiting for them to measure my height. The girl next to me was in 4th grade and she was taller then me!!! I was crushed! I was so sad! That is short for you! Anyway, the workers looked like 10 year old. It was funny though because there are a lot myths in the Irish culture about Leprecons. Leprecons are said to be short and they were shorter then short! So I was looking around and our waiter came. So I ordered my Shepherds pie and about 20 minutes later our dinner came. I had that first bite of shepherds pie and OMG, it was the absolute most no doubt the WORST shepherds pie ever!!!! The beef was bland, tough, and dry. The mashed potatoes were not mashed they were chunks of bland soggy potatoes. That was the only thin in it, potatoes and meat. So I left hungry. Nobody liked there food so we stopped at a pizza place but it is oven brick and not like Dominoes or Papa Johns like a pizza restaurant. That was good. We stayed 3 days and The last two days we ate at the same place because it was SOOOOOO good!!!!!!!!!!!!! So the second day I got Shepherds pie. It was the BEST shepherds pie ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The potatoes were perfectly seasoned with fresh cream and butter. Tender juicy flavorful meat! Lots of veggies and the like sauce was the most flavorful sauce I have ever had in my life!!!!!!!! It was amazing! I finished it in seconds. The most flavorful savory dinner pie I have ever ate!! I didn't know you could cook that good. I knew I had to Replicate it. If you ate it you would to! You can't eat that shepherds pie and not replicate it.
So know that we had our Chit-Chat about why I am putting this on, lets say what is in and with it! So there are veggies like carrots, peppers, onions, and peas. The tender ground beef is more then amazing tender beef and the sauce with so much seasoning and flavor!!!!!! Topped off with cheddar cheese!!!! I'm loving it! I do!!!!!! There are some salty flavors to which is nice because I love when you have a salty flavor. I really love this stuff!!!!!!!!!!!! Heaven on a plate. Well enjoy!!!!!!!
Ingredients-
1 pound potatoes, peeled and chopped
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 pound ground beef
1 large onion, finely chopped

Cranberry and Apple stuffed Pork Chops with Walnut topping and apple glaze
This is a recipe I have already posted but it was extremely popular so I am putting it back up!!!!!!!!!!I mostly eat beef, veal, chicken, and fish. I love pork but I don't eat it that often. Don't ask me why cause I don't know I just don't. I was looking for a recipe and I found Apple cranberry pork chops. I decided to add a walnut topping. So I crunched some walnuts added salt and pepper and roasted them, put them on top and BAM! I decided to do walnuts because a few weeks before I made this, I went out to eat and got a Spinach apple, walnut salad. I really liked it (not as much as ceaser). The walnuts gave a crunch texture which was awesome. This whole dish is awesome! If somebody asked me what my favorite part of this dish was I would say the fact that it is stuffed. Your mouth dose not expect it and you are eating that nice meaty juice flavorful pork chop then you get the juicy flavorful filling and the crunchy walnut topping. Oh yeh did I mention the glaze? So y'all know how if you cook meat a lot of the juices kind of come off. That is why if you cook it to long then it is dry. Well the juices that come out of the apple and pork are made into a sauce! I know I know, no autographs, hold the applause, brilliant if me!!!!!! So you have so many easy elements that are super easy but super flavorful. There is no I in team and all these things work as a team! FLOWER POWER!!! I know its random but it came to my mind! So y'all know how Worst cooks in America comes on tonight! Well All the past seasons were on and I was watching it last night. One episode Bobby and Anne made pork chops. They didn't tell them what anything was or was made out of, no recipe. They just gave them a dish and told them to replicate it. That is why I thought of putting up a pork chop recipe. Those looked like complicated pork chops. These are nice and simple. So I have been reading my e-mails and request, people have been asking for me to give an idea for a side. I love to serve this with steamed green beans with butter, salt, and pepper. But my favorite thing to serve with these are mashed potatoes. There is nothing better then mashed potatoes and a sauce or gravy. I can eat it every day 3 times a day. If the potatoes are seasoned right then I can eat a whole 5 pounds. Once my dad made 5 pounds of mashed potatoes. He seasoned it great and put butter and cream in it and it was so good. I ate probably 3 pounds of it! They were good potatoes! With some gravy to give it more flavor it is to infinity and beyond!! I am watching toy story with some family friends kids and Buzz Lightyear just said that. Pork has a salty flavor so the sweet filling and the smoke of the walnuts. I'm loving it!!! This dish just has so many good elements to it! OMG guess what!!!!!!! Go on guess.......... I'm waiting, Once Upon a Time is on tonight!!!! So excited! Already reserved the T.v. My family knows how much I love the show so they make sure I have a T.v cause if I don't watch it I will be in a really really bad mood.! Well g2g bye!

Hazelnut Chocolate Chip Scones
Anybody like Nutella? That chocolate hazelnut spread.Well I love it!!!!!!!!!! This dose not have nutella in it but Nutella gave me inspiration! I love having nutella for breakfast. I love it on toast and waffles, well I needed a recipe to put up and I decided to do scones. I love scones! Well who dose not right. So I was looking for some of my recipes and I came along this one. I love chocolate as y'all know so this was awesome. The hazelnut gives it this smoky flavor almost. My dad is a big scone fan. Scones aren't that sweet so he loves that, they are really easy and simple and he is the simple and elegant kind of gut and these are elegant!!!!! In England they eat these at tea parties and the queen eats them. They eat them at elegant events. Anyway, I am not a coffee or tea kind of gal. Most people eat scones with coffee and tea. So in the morning I just make Hot coco. In my opinion is taste way better it goes better with the scone. It is chocolate and chocolate what can be better? Seriously, what I have no idea what can be better! A lot of kids skip breakfast because they don't want it. On a school day you don't always have time to make a homemade breakfast. So kids just put something in the toaster and make a bowl of cereal. Here is what I do, make these on Sundays and have them for the week. This recipe makes 8 scones so it should last you the 5 day school week. You can always double it if you have a big family. They are really easy to make and don't take long so you could always make on a weekday night. These go by fast in my house! So, How y'all doing. These are also very filling. I hate it when you eat something for breakfast that is really yummy but not filling. The point of breakfast is to fill yourself up for the day. Sixth graders at the school I work at eat lunch at 10:45. These scones fill me up so much I don't like to eat to like 1:00. But I hate eating in front of the kids because I feel bad I get to eat wen ever I want and they don't so I just eat at 10:45. My mind just went blank. So anybody going away for Presidents Day? I am staying at home blogging and sleeping. I love to sleep! I slept in till 10:00 today. Then I decided to add a recipe then I want to go exercise. I want to but I really don't feel like it. My plan is to put up 4 recipes today. Then I have 3 arons to do and then I will relax for the day! It sounds so easy!:-) Plus I have to shows tonight to watch! One is Worst cooks in America the other is Once upon a time. I love Once upon a time. I am addicted to that show. I watch it every Sunday and I can not miss it! I watch it like 3 times the same episode every week! I have count downs to the next new episode to! I love that show! Well g2g bye!

WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't roll over this recipe. It may be an interesting way of cooking but if that is a way of living then I will put recipes up for it. I admit- this isn't my original recipe. Like I have said before, I am a carnivor, I love cheese and milk, lots of my snacks relate some how to an animal. I know what vegan is but just to make sure I wasn't breaking a rule, I figured I would find a recipe but add a twist. So for those who don't know, vegan is you eat nothing related to animals. No meat or dairy products. Also you don't eat, well say you had a marshmallow, a marshmallow has gelatin, gelatin is pig fat a pig is an animal you don't eat it. My mom had this friend and when she and her family came to town every few years. One day that they were coming we were about to order the pizza
and she called us. She was like" I forgot to tell you but we became
vegan last year, pasta, rice, salad is fine with us. My mom, lets just say my mom was shocked. When she came to town every few years she would visit us. We always just ordered p was shocked. So my mom says" I wasn't planning on cooking but I can make something work". So her friend said " I can bring my own stuff". She gets here and she brings, soy hot dogs, tofu chicken nuggets, and this fake BBQ pork. It was some artificial thing. So I found this a bit wired. I almost felt bad for the kids. They both loved cheese and ice cream but they couldn't eat it. So on a different topic, there are so many veggies that are barely eaten. You have common ones like carrots, peppers, brocoli, green beans, cucumbers. squash, etc. There are uncommon veggies like parsnips, radishes, turnips, cabbage, eggplant, mushrooms are more eaten in sauce then as a veggie things like that. My moms friend loved spice. I guess If all you have in a stew is veggies you need some flavor. Let me warn you. This is a little spicy. It kicks in in the end. I still much rather have a stew with beef, carrots, potatoes, and the more traditional thing for my taste. But I will say, as vegan things go, this was good. I admit not my favorite, but I'm liking it, not loving liking. I am probably making y'all does she like this or not. I like it a lot and I like how it is so old stile. It is a old recipe that is made with spices that they used to trade in Africa. I am the first to say, I am not a geography, social studies type of gal. But this has a nice story behind it. Lots of people in Africa also traded rice and grains. Lots of vegans put rice in the stew.It gives it a nice texture. I love rice so that was an A+ for me. Most Africans are vegans in Africa. Y'all watch worst cooks in America? I love that show!!!!!! It is so funny how bad they are in the start! They are making a new season on Sunday!!!!!!!!!! So excited! I think Ann is going to win since she won to Bobby last season. But it depends on the people! This dosh is just cutting and stirring. Now the worst cooks are bad, and I mean bad, They might be able to make this. I mean my 3 year old neighbor can make this. I am watching worst cooks right now! Season 3 is on. Well I want to go enjoy the show with my family so g2g bye!

Spiced and Herbed Roasted Beef Tenderloin
Y'all saw the title right? You probably did because if you didn't you probably wouldn't be reading this. So this has herb AND spice. That is a lot of flavor! I love spices and seasonings. I do!! I love to put a bunch of seasonings on.Like when I make lamb I put herbs and a bunch of seasonings on it. I love to do this with lamb but the best ingredient to do this with is beef. Beef is such a tender rich piece of meat.
What do y'all see in this picture? Y'all see blast of color right?! Even though it is on one piece of paper and there are so many colors and textures it still works great together. That is like the meat. All the seasonings and textures are on one piece of meat But the finish protect looks and taste amazing. I was always a carnivor. I love rare meat and ribs and big meaty steak. So this beef is up my alley!!!!!!!!!! I love herbs. As a kid we would always, every year do a garden. My dad knew how to garden! We would grow tomatoes, squash, peppers, pumpkins, carrots, radishes, even cabbage . My mom would always grow herbs in these big pots on the deck. We would grow them from seeds and water them everyday and put them in the corner of the deck so they get perfect sunlight. We grew basil, parsley, and rosemary. That was the usual but we grew other things to. Anyway, the point of this was I grew up growing and cooking with herbs. If you roast something with herbs its always good(if you cook it right) turkey, chicken, lamb, duck, veal, beef its all cooked a lot with herbs. The herbs juices always soak into the meat and it taste great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!G2G BYE!!!!!!!!

Chocolate chip Cheesecake bites
Malina Monday!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy birthday
Malina!!!!!!!! When me and Malina were kids we always made cookie dough. We wouldn't bake it.Wait!!!!!!!!!Don't worry! We substitute milk for the eggs. We we would dip them in chocolate and sprinkles. We loved doing it after Halloween. We would put a bunch of candy in it. Once we mixed the chocolate in the cookie dough so when it got hard the chocolate was in them. We would put then in the fridge till they got hard. Now and Malina have so many cookie dough recipes.Oh yeh just remembered, once we like died it colored. Not with food coloring. With m&ms!!! We mellted them with a little milk and it was chocolate color! That was awesome! We would always go to this frozen yogurt place. They had like 30 flavors and like 100 toppings. They had these little cookie dough bites. They were so good. We would go after volleyball. That is the yummiest stuff ever Not as good as these. Plus they have rainbow sprinkles to make it all birthday ish. didn't put the eggs in. Instead we put in milk. You might not know this but I have a cookie dough obsession with
cookie dough. My favorite ice cream and truffle. This is a chocolate
chip cookie dough bite that is sweeter then sugar. You have the chocolate
chips inside the sweet cookie dough covered in chocolate I think of
one word Yum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then its colorful and pretty with
some rainbow sprinkles. I know you want this but you are probably
thinking one thing RAW EGGS. In this you do not have to worry cause
there are no raw eggs. So you can have a a sweet snack before or after a
delightful delicious dinner. ENJOY (makes about 50). Okay 50 is a lot.But I made these, I went upstairs for 10 minutes to do something. Came down, they were all gone. Malina Monday!!! So let me tell you about the layers because the title can be confusing. So there is one layer of brownie, chocolate pudding, whipped cream,Then Reese's peanut butter cups!!This screams my BFF Malina!!!! So she loves chocolate trifles, then she loves chocolate pudding, cool whip everybody loves, and we both share a passion for Reese's peanut butter cups!!!!!!! When I texted her to ask her what her favorite dessert is. She said Chocolate trifle and Reese's peanut butter cups. So I decided to add them. My original plan was to do a chocolate cake instead of a brownie. But then I decided to do a brownie. I think that this would be better with a brownie. The brownie goes better with the pudding then cake would. I love trifles. Litterally of flavor. You get one spoonful with one taste and you want to scream. The texture rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Crab cakes with a side of Buttered Orzo
Another pick from my Best BFF Malina's Malina Monday. A day where all dishes are picks from Malina because its her birthday!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MALINA!!!!!!!!!!! So I asked what her favorite dinner would be and she picked crab cakes and orzo. When we were kids(we still do a lot) we were on a competitive travel volleyball team. We were very good not to brag. I was short but I was good! We were on the same team so we would carpool. One day I went to her house like a half an hour and she was eating dinner. She had orzo. A few weeks later we had a sleepover. I ate dinner at her house and they made orzo. So I figured since I have seen it at their house a few times they most like it. Me and Malina have been Best friends since we were like 3. We like the same foods. So I tried it and I LOVED it!!!!!! I ate so much. I must of had 4 full bowls of it! It was amazing!!!!! So when ever I went to their house early before volleyball, I would pray that they would be eating it for dinner! I would walk in the door and be like" it smells good in here, did you have orzo for dinner" Then if she answered yes, I would run to the kitchen get a bowl and fork and eat. If not I would be sad. We were are still are, as close as friends can get so I didn't really hesitate to do this. We both grew up in Laurel Maryland outside if Baltimore. I used to go u to Annapolis a lot so we were used to good crab cakes. I only order crab cakes in Baltimore and Annapolis. I never order it in Florda or California. Anyway not the point, I know good crab cakes and these are higher then the bar. WAY higher. I'm loving it!!!!!!!!
So lets talk about birthdays a little bit. After all the reason I am putting this up is for Malina's birthday.I love birthdays!!!!!! There are presents, cake, a ton of goodies and good foods, balloons, and a bunch of good stuff!
Isn't that cute? I love that! I love how the happy birthday gets bigger. It wraps up the whole birthday feel don't you agree? The cake and the presents the balloons! It makes me so happy when I see it.Hold on let me find another one.....

Chicken salad sanwiches!
Malina Monday continues!!!!!!( these are more of a lunch thing but i am putting it up now because i have work)So I asked her what her favorite lunch is and she said chicken salad. I decided to put it up as a sandwich. What I like about this is, you can put what ever you want on your sandwich on whatever bread. I put it on whole wheat bread with lettuce and tomato!!! But some people but other things on theirs. Lots of people put it on rye bread! What ever you like! My myself, I am a pretty big chicken salad fan. I love all the textures. The onions and celery add a nice crunch and a amazing flavor. This way you don't just have chicken and mayo. You know what is nice about this? Go on think, I can wait. Its healthy. Ask yourself, how can something this good be healthy? Well the chicken has protein, the onions and celery are veggies, the bread gives you wheat, and the things you put on the sandwich with the chicken salad is good to!!!! This is a great dish to serve at a party. Put a bowl on the table full of chicken salad, then put out lots of breads and vegetables and have people make their own sandwich. This is great for a picnic to. So try it!!!!!!! You now the best way to make this. With left over chicken. It helps so much. I love making big roast chicken with gravy, potatoes, onions, and bread. But we never finish all the chicken in one dinner. So I make it into chicken salad, everybody loves and we finish it all so we have room in the fridge for other stuff!
This is the best chicken salad. As soon as Malina texted me I knew I had to put this one up!I was so excited to put it up to! Malina is the best and so is this and the best deserves the best so it fell into place like a puzzle! Well its getting late and I still have 2 or 3 more recipes so g2g by!!
